Personal
Training

A coach watching every rep, a program written for your body, and a plan that changes as you do.

What is personal training at More Than Fitness?

Personal training at More Than Fitness is one-on-one coaching in a private Burnie studio, where a nationally accredited coach writes and runs your program in person.

Sessions are booked by appointment for individuals, couples or small private groups. You are not handed a printed sheet and left alone — the coach is with you for the session, correcting technique, adjusting load, and changing the plan when your body or your schedule changes.

It suits people who have tried a gym membership and stopped, people coming back from a long break, people carrying an old injury, and people who already train but want to break through something.

What a session includes

Every program is different, but this is the shape of it.

Other training options
  • A warm-up built for your body, not a generic five minutes on a bike
  • Coaching on every lift — technique corrected as it happens
  • Programming that progresses week to week instead of repeating
  • Work around existing injuries and limitations, planned not ignored
  • Simple homework you can do on non-training days
  • Honest feedback about what's working and what isn't

Most sessions run around an hour, including warm-up and cool-down. Session length can be adjusted to suit your schedule and what you're training for — discuss it when you book.

Two to three sessions a week is the sweet spot for most people starting out. It's enough to build real momentum without wrecking your recovery or your week. Some clients train once a week with the coach and do homework sessions on their own.

Yes. Couples sessions are common and they work — the cost is split, and having someone else booked in makes it much harder to skip.

Tell the coach at the first conversation. Programs are built around existing injuries and limitations rather than pretending they aren't there. For anything under active medical treatment, bring your physio or doctor's guidance and it'll be worked into the plan.

Training gear, closed-in shoes, a water bottle and a towel. Everything else is at the venue.

Pricing depends on session length, frequency, and whether you train solo, as a couple or in a private group. Call or text 0409 858 304 for current rates — there are no lock-in contracts.
